Two volunteers are invited to the stage. Each is given a piece of rope. The magician also has a piece of rope. The magician demonstrates how to tie the rope into a circle. The volunteers are asked to make circles with their ropes.
The concept of fellowship is introduced. Explanation is given that fellowship is not Christians going separate ways and working alone. Rather it is working together. As an example of this, the three separate circles of rope are mysteriously joined together!
